Can You Hear Me Now

Psalms 19:1-4

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Although she has never said a word, most know her famous quote. The Statue of Liberty attempts to reminds Americans, we are a refuge for others. God’s miracles are all around us. Without saying a single word, life reminds us that God is our refuge. He created all, and nature is full of His wonders. We all are welcome. He is the light on the stand beckoning each of us home. He calls out to you to take refuge in Him. All you have to do is listen.

Will You Stand

1 Timothy 6:11-15

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

There aren’t many songs that scream patriotic more than God Bless the USA, by Lee Greenwood. What I want to know today is are you proud to be a Christian? Do you know that you are free? Will you not forget the Man who died to to give right to you and me? Will you gladly stand up, next to me and defend Him still today? Do you have any doubt in your love for Him? My dear friend, I pray His blessings over you today!

Bright Future

Deuteronomy 8:2-8

Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you. Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him. For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey;

“Your future is bright. Just stop hanging around people who try to dim your light and you will climb up to a higher height! Don’t give up on the fight! Stand up for your right! It’s within your might!”

― Israelmore Ayivor

The future is so bright we gotta wear shades! When you face a big monster in your way, remember all the monsters God has taken out already! Never forget where you have been and what you have been through. Your history is how you make it through your present to enjoy your future. God has never left your side. He is by your side. He will always be by your side. So whip out those shades! You have a bright future ahead of you!

The Battle Light

1 John 3:7-10

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

The Star Spangled Banner
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof thru the night that our flag was still there

Those rockets exploding gave enough light to see the flag flying over Ft McHenry. As dawn come, the flag was still there. The enemy had not defeated the American troops. Those troops did not give up. They kept their eyes on the enemy. They kept fighting, even when darkness threatened them. Much like those troops, we are in a fight every single day. We keep our eyes on the Light. We do not deviate from it. That Light will see us through the darkness that threatens us. Fight! Our Dawns Early Light has risen, so we may rise with Him too!

Tell Your Story

Revelation 12:9-11

The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Never alone will I be

As long as you share with me

We will hold each other tight

We will stand against the fight

For you and I make a We!

~Tabetha Frick

If you put cold drinks in a cooler and never open it back up what good will they do? The ice will melt eventually and the sodas will just sit there in warm water. Let me tell you something, your testimony is no good unless you share it. We triumph over Satan by the blood of the Lamb (Christ) AND the word of our testimony. Get out there empathize with people by assuring them they are not alone and share your story with them. Satan wants to isolate us. Don’t let him do that!!! We all have stories to tell. TELL THEM!!

Conqueror

Romans 8:37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

“The eagle has no fear of adversity. We need to be like the eagle and have a fearless spirit of a conqueror!” ~Joyce Meyer

I can’t tell you how many times I have recited the verse. “I am more than a conqueror through Christ!’ Last summer, I remember a day that it was my mantra during a 45 minute drive by myself, suffering from heat stroke. I have no idea how I made it home. I had little to no use of the right side of my body, my jaw was locked. All I wanted was water, a cold shower, and bed. I know God saw me through that day. He kept me going and safe all the way home. I was more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ! It makes me wonder just how many other things I face in a day that God has already conquered for me. Won’t you grab your drink and walk through today with me as the conquerors we are because of Christ!

Settling

John 10:10-14

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me

“There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” ~Nelson Mandela

Not just living life, but living it more abunantly. God never meant for His children to just go through the motions and make it through life. He meant for us to be happy and enjoy life. Doesn’t mean we won’t face trials, have bad days, or always be happy and on top of the world. It means we have a choice to not let Satan steal our joy and purpose. Let’s be honest here, when we have the choice, is he really stealing it or are we handing it over to him. It is time to Stand and Fight! Don’t settle for a plain hamburger in a Big Mac world!

Demolish the Enemy

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

de·mol·ish

pull or knock down (a building).:

comprehensively refute (an argument or its proponent).

overwhelmingly defeat (a player or team).

I don’t think any war ever starts out with, “Let’s Go Kill Each Other!” It almost always begins with someone’s feelings getting hurt. Then the anger grows and grows until the only way out seems to be to take up arms. This is why God specifically states we do not wage war as the world. God wants us to fight the fight at the source. Demolish it long before it ever gets to military personnel being involved. We may not be able to stop thoughts from entering our mind, but we can certainly stop them from taking root. We need to take arms today against the enemy! Use your weapons of prayer, faith, and hope. We will win this war!

Sparkle Together

Matthew 18:18-20

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Vega is a star approximately 25 light years away but can still be seen by the naked eye. One candle can be seen 1.6 miles away. Imagine the intensity if either of these were doubled.

Have you ever lit a sparkler and then instead of lighting the next one you simply put it next to it. The two light up brightly together, much brighter than either one alone. We are just like those sparklers. One person needs prayer and reaches out to another. Our bond strengthens. Our prayers get louder. The enemy of darkness cannot stand. Our light together is bright but it burns even more intense because Jesus enters the scene. So let your light shine, but reach out and join it to other lights and we will light up the darkness.

Delivered

2 Thessalonians 3:1-4

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.

de·liv·er

1. bring and hand over (a letter, parcel, or ordered goods) to the proper recipient or address.

2. provide (something promised or expected).

We spend lots of time praying for people in need. We remember those who need healing, financial or relationship issues. How much time do you pray just for other Christians, not because they have needs that they know of, but just because of what they may face. God is good at providing for things we didn’t even know we needed. Living in America we take a lot of these things for granted. Well, at least we did until March of this year. We got a taste of knowing what it is like to be stuck in our homes and out of basic needs. It is time we quit takiing things for granted and start praying for each other. Asking God to just give us strength and meet our needs and deliver us from what we may face.
