Let’s get to the root of the problem. We are sitting in a world that has fallen. From the moment that Adam and Eve took that first step into sin, the world plunged into darkness. Hate, anger, strife, jealousy, pride, and lies swirl around us all day long. We can get wrapped up in them with others very quickly. Fighting with the other person just makes them all worse. Why? Because we are fighting with the wrong person!
Anger is an emotion and honest emotion. Anger by itself is not dangerous, or even wrong. It is what we do with that anger that causes the problem. When we let it rule our lives and make stupid decisions based on it, that is when it becomes a problem. We often take it out on others, or maybe even the thing or person that made us angry. We fight on foreign soil.
When anger rears its ugly head, we need to take it to the proper battlefield. We need to take it to the proper authority. We need to take it to God. Don’t let Satan and his little minions rejoice in victory. Be more than a conqueror! Keep the battle on your turf. Now, go polish that armor and prepare for battle.
