It is OK to be you! Contrary to every commercial out there, you do not have to dress like, drive, own, or eat what everyone else is wearing, driving, owning, or eating! The older, I get the more I understand this concept. In a world full of pigeons, be a peacock!
We were never meant to just fit in with the crowd. We don’t bend our faith, beliefs, or morals to make the world happy. we are not to conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We are different and that is OK!
On that same note, I want to point out that different doesn’t mean we snub our noses at others. Just because you have discovered your inner peacock doesn’t mean you don’t hang around the pigeons. Agreeing to disagree and still being friends doesn’t change your stance or who you are in your faith. As a matter of fact, it strengthens it. Because it is then you are able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. That will is to love one another!
