Hebrews 12:11
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
I don’t care when I read today’s verse, and believe me I have read it a lot, I just want to say OUCH! Seriously, no discipline seems pleasant. I just want to scream, AMEN! On the other hand, I know what kind of results are produced from hard work.
I think we all know that feeling of working really hard on something, then finally success. I am not even talking about some huge event. Maybe it was studying for a test, then getting that good grade. Shoot it may have been waking up and surviving the day. No matter what it is you have reaped the harvest.
We need to hold on to those successes. Remember that feeling and don’t let go. Then share it with someone else. Let them know you have been down that road and survived. God got you through and He will do it for them. You will hold their hand too.
Lord, thank You for seeing me through my training to mu success. Let me be there fir someone else! ~amen
