Philippians 1:9-11
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Have you ever sat with someone who had a big decision to make and felt helpless. You might be able to offer a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, but you can’t make the choice for them. The best thing you can do is pray. Today’s verses are great for praying God’s word!
If you are unfamiliar with praying the word, it is simply using scriptures as your prayer. Today’s verses help you pray for insight and discernment. You can pray them over others or for yourself when faced with a decision. I know Lord, I want my love to abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so I am able to discern what is best and be pure and blameless for Your return, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through You and give You all the praise and glory. ~amen
Lord, thank You for Your word and it always being exactly what I need when I need it to help me make all the decisions that come my way. ~amen
