Psalms 118:13-14
13 I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me. 14 The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
The quote, “When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on,” was first attributed to Thomas Jefferson. However, I think King David may have inspired it. Just look at today’s verse.
I have been in many situations where I felt I was dangling over the cliff. I saw no way out of my situation. King David found himself in a few of those also. He knew exactly what to do when he got there. He reached out to God and then hung on tight until he got his answer. He knew exactly where his strength to hang on came from and who was coming to save him.
David isn’t the owner of this power. He doesn’t have a corner on the market. His strength comes from the same place you get yours. God is waiting to help you out. So, tie that knot and hang on tight. God is working on pulling you up!
Lord thank Your for your strength You so generously provide. ~amen
