Today’s Scripture…
Zephaniah 3:17
17 The LORD your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Thoughts…
We tend to idolize people, movie stars, sports players, government officials, and even religious members. As Bing Crosby says in White Christmas, “It’s kinda dangerous putting those knights up on white horses. Likely to slip off you know.” Even if they remain of good character, the limelight moves on, the season ends, the final term finishes and people retire. Although their legacy may live on, they do not.
I can assure that there is one person in your life who’s title of Mighty Warrior (among many other names) will never fall off that white horse.. Death didn’t even keep Him down. The best part is all these idols in your life will most likely never know you but Jesus not only knows you, He also loves you and rejoices over you. This love will NEVER end. His armor will always shine and His saddle is always secure.
