Today’s Scripture…
Philippians 2:14-16
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
Thoughts…
I have spent the past few months doing something on Facebook that was the best choice I could make. No, it was not get rid of my Facebook…lol! I spent time everyday actually liking and/or commenting on only positive things that I enjoyed. I also started blocking things I didn’t want to see, and yes I even blocked a few negative people. I decide, I didn’t need the stress. Before long, the Facebook algorithm took over. I only see things that make my happy. Even the advertisements are at least things I would be interested in, if I had money…lol.
I know I become what I surround myself with everyday. If I can focus on God’s blessings, then when dark days arrive, I can still find the sun. It enables me to get through without all the grumbling and arguing. When I am not that way, I have a better chance of shining like a bright star in someone else’s life and help light the path.
Now, I would love to say my new life hack always works. There are still flaws some days. However, if I can out number the bad with the good, I call it a success. Besides, if I am having a bad day, it is safe for me to read my Facebook to cheer me up! What are you surrounding yourself with?
