Scripture
Mark 12:28-31
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Application
Would you kick a neighbor when he is down? Would you look at your neighbor and tell them they are fat, ugly or stupid? Would you beat them up over a little mistake and never forgive them? So, why do you do it to yourself? Why not love your neighbor like yourself? Why not give yourself a break? Tell yourself you look gorgeous today. Tell yourself you are loved and taken care of today. My goodness you can’t get any closer than yourself. Take care of you and love yourself like you love your neighbor!
Prayer
Lord, I know you love me, but I don’t always love myself. I even love my neighbors and treat them better than I do myself. I am sorry for sometimes hating your creation. Today I will stand up for myself and not let Satan convince me I an anything other than wonderfully made. ~Amen
